“Se si volesse stabilire qual è il paesaggio italiano più tipico, bisognerebbe indicare le Marche… L’Italia con i suoi paesaggi, è un distillato del mondo; le Marche dell’Italia… Un viaggio nelle Marche, non frettoloso, porta a vedere meraviglie…”
Le Marche
“If you should try to describe which landscape is most representative for Italy as a whole, you would have to mention Le Marche…With all her different landscapes, Italy is an extraction of the world: Le Marche is this extraction of Italy…Travelling through Le Marche, leisurely, reveils miracles…“
About Le Marche
Sea, mountains, lakes, medieval villages and cities, history, art, local traditions, spirituality, typical dishes and wine: in Le Marche you can find it all and within acceptable distance! That is exactly what we love so much about this region, together with the pleasant mentality and hospitality of the people and the climate.
The region is situated at the east side of Central Italy, in between the Adriatic sea and the Appenines, at the latitude of Umbria. Le Marche has 180 kilometers of coastline, with many beach resorts, beaches, bays and ports. Compared to Tuscany and Umbria, culture comes in more manageable proportions, but at high quality. Beautiful medieval villages and impressive nature and views is what you come across when travelling inland from the coast. The region is composed of 5 provinces, each with its own character, products and dishes. The provincial capitals are all very worthwhile to visit. and offer great combinations of culture, history, architecture, gastronomy and shopping.
Le Marche has a large number of nature reserves, amongst which 2 National Parks (Monti Sibillini en Gran Sasso/Monti della Laga) and a considerable number of regional parks. These nature reserves offer great walks, trekkings and cycle tours and there are even some itineraries for cars. You will find a specific flora an fauna everywhere. Every season makes nature change colours and appearance. In winter snow brings out spectacular winter landscapes. In spring numerous flours pop up, such as wild orchids. In summer hillsides turn completely yellow by great numbers of sunflowers and autumn transforms the landscape into the most fascinating colour palette you have ever seen. Villa NuMoViv faces both a hilly landscape and the Sibillini mountains. An ideal spot for experiencing all the seasons and the seasonal changes. On clear days (there are many) you can also see the Gran Sasso from the Villa. Because of its location, Villa NuMoViv forms an ideal base for experiencing and enjoying all the pleasant aspects Le Marche has to offer.
